mcBlog was built to run fast and be easy to use. You can read some technical details on its repository. (1)
Images, text and title font sizes decrease/increase with the size of the screen being used. It will display well both on large and small screens, on desktop and mobile devices.
Its features make it a good choice for a school class or a university department, for example. One blog administrator can easily create as many independent accounts as needed. Posts are saved as drafts before being published, which gives their authors (pupils, lecturers, others) the opportunity to ask the blog admin (teacher, professor, other) to review them before publishing. Posts can only be changed or deleted by their authors or the blog administrator.
The text of the posts and comments can be formatted using Markup (HTML). Markdown is much nicer and trendy, but its requirements would make the blog heavier.
It's also possible to add images to the posts. The blog's list view shows, behind every title, the first line of a post text, and also a thumbnail of the image inside - if the post has an image, of course.
